Judging Process
A panel of four judges appointed by Kids in Community Inc will assess the Awards nominations. The members of the panel are chosen for their expertise, knowledge and experience in youth issues.
Members of the panel are drawn from across the geographical zone of the Northern Rivers region.
Judges review all entries and select a winner for each category division.
The KIC committee directs the judges to consider choosing as winners, in certain categories, those young people who may not normally be acknowledged or recognised for their positive efforts and actions.
All nominees will receive full recognition, however last year’s winners will be excluded from the judging process.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Judges’ Choice Awards
The Bronwyn Donaghy Memorial Award
This Award serves to recognise an “all-rounder”. When nominating for the various categories, also include those young people in the community who already have had recognition for their good deeds and their passion to help others.
Encouragement Award
The Judges will also choose a nominee for the Encouragement Award to reinforce to the recipient that their endeavours are appreciated and supported and encourage ongoing participation.
