The Kids in Community – Media Reporting on Youth Awards acknowledge the important and powerful role of the media in influencing public opinion about young people and youth issues.
The Awards are designed to encourage the media to look beyond the sensational and report stories that more accurately reflect the positive and valued contribution that our local youth make to their communities.
The Kids in Community – Media Reporting on Youth Awards complement the annual Kids in Community Awards, which aim to elevate the image of youth by celebrating those who positively address issues affecting young people and their communities.
